This is my first poem I ever wrote and published in a book. It was one of those little pay for the book you get your poem published. I never thought it was that good but my father (being the man that he is) loves it and carries it proudly on his desk. Ha. Well that's just my dad, but more about him later.
Metaphysical Foreplay
"Free from the constraints of life,
Floating so effortlessly with minimal strife.
A glimmer of hope held in one's eye,
Arms extended directly up to the sky.
The metaphysical destination of all those who ask.
The answer does not lie in the future but in the past.
Study creation, time, and being,
For we, as humans, are thinking things.
The answer lies within for one to find.
The question, though, is in the mind.
The answer to the greatest question you say?
Well I have it, and it will make your day.
The question though, you must not be afraid,
Like the games that must be played.
I leave you now, forever in peace,
My mind is rested and at ease."
